The lowdown: Ridley Scott’s retelling of the story of Moses and his freeing of the Hebrew slaves from Egypt is less on pomp and biblical reverence than the classic Cecil B. DeMille treatments.
Christian Bale is a man-of-action Moses in this feature that uses the latest visual effects to bring the plagues of Egypt to the screen.

The acting is pedestrian and the musical numbers are badly staged. The music is the only thing that holds up.

The relationship brought Flynn some more notoriety as the actor continued to decline because of booze and drugs.

Her plan is to become the leader of her daughter’s Wilderness Girl’s troop, which leads to all kinds of formulaic and clichéd situations.
