ReelBob: 2016 Heartland Film Festival Update

By Bob Bloom

The 25th annual Heartland Film Festival opens Thursday in Indianapolis.

The festival is a showcase for independent films and documentaries — feature-length and shorts — from around the world.

The festival, which runs through Oct. 30, will feature more than 230 films. Many screenings will include talks by filmmakers and actors associated with the projects.

Most of the movies, which will have multiple screenings, will be presented at the AMC Castleton Square 14 and Showplace Traders Point theaters.
